Panguitch Attractions
Panguitch (pop. 1,600) is the seat of Garfield County in southwestern Utah. The town gets its name from an Indian word meaning "big fish". It is known for its red brick houses dating from the 1870's.
The Daughters Of The Utah Pioneers Museum in Panguitch has information about the early pioneers of the Bryce Canyon and the surrounding region.

More than 200 mounted animals are on display at the Paunsaugunt Western Wildlife Museum in Panguitch. The museum also features a collection of fossils and Indian artifacts.
