Ogden Ranger District

Mount Ben Lomond near Ogden is supposedly the inspiration for the Paramount Pictures logo. It is named after a mountain in Scotland, and peaks at 9,717ft/2,962m. There is a hiking trail to the summit from the Skyline Trailhead.

Ogden Canyon is located at the end of the Ogden River Parkway. The area features beautiful scenery and unique geology.

The Powder Mountain Ski Resort in Ogden Canyon has 70 runs on more than 5,500 acres of terrain, with a summit elevation of 8,900ft/2,713m.

The Snowbasin Ski Resort is located east of Ogden in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It is open from Thanksgiving to April with 39 runs and a base elevation of 6,400ft/1951m.
