Visitors can use Mendon (pop. 900) as a base to hike the Wellsville Mountain area in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The town is located 10mi/13km west of Logan in the northern area of the state. The trailhead is located 2mi/3.2km west of town on Highway 300.
