Juab County

Eureka (pop. 770) is the third-largest town in Juab County in central Utah. It is located at an elevation of 6,442 ft/1,964m. Eureka was once a major center for mining. The ghost towns of Silver City and Mammoth are nearby.

The Tintic Mining Museum in Eureka has mining artifacts and a mineral display. It is housed in the old Eureka City Hall which was built in 1899.

The Eureka City Cemetery was added to the National Historic Register in 1979. It is located southwest of Eureka.

The Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge in Juab County occupies 18,000 acres in a remote area of western Utah, at least 80mi/129km from any store or gas station. The wildlife in the marshlands includes swans, geese, ducks and herons.

The town of Levan (pop. 690) is located in Juab County at an elevation of 5,350ft/1,630m. The name of the town comes from its location in central Utah.

The Little Sahara Recreation Area in Juab County consists of 60,000 acres of white sand dunes that is ideal for off-road vehicles.

Mona (pop. 850) is the second-largest town in Juab County. It is located between the towns of Santaquin and Nephi.

The Yuba Reservoir is located in Juab County. It features year-round fishing for walleye, perch, catfish and northern pike. Yuba State Park is located on the shores of the reservoir.

Yuba State Park is located 15mi/24km south of Levan. It features year-round fishing and other water activities on the Yuba Reservoir.
