Iron County

Brian Head (pop. 120) is the highest town in Utah. It is mainly known for its ski resort, mountain biking and fall colors. It is located on the slopes of Brian Head Peak in southwestern Utah.

The Brian Head Ski Resort is located in Utah's southern Wasatch Range east of Cedar City. The resort has the highest base elevation of all the ski resorts in the state at 9,600ft/2,926m.

Enoch (pop. 3,460) is the second-largest town in Iron County. It was settled as an iron town. Enoch is located on Interstate 15 north of Cedar City in southwestern Utah.

Kanarraville (pop. 310) is the fifth-largest town in Iron County. It is located on Interstate 15 south of Cedar City next to the Kolob Canyons in Zion National Park in southwestern Utah.

The small unincorporated town of New Castle is located to the west of Cedar City, next to the Newcastle Reservoir.

In the late 19th century Old Irontown was a booming Utah mining community. The site now features the ruins of a charcoal oven, a foundry and a blast furnace.

Paragonah (pop. 470) is the fourth-largest town in Iron County in southwestern Utah.
