Fillmore Attractions
Fillmore (pop. 2,250) is the seat and second largest town in Millard County. It was settled in 1851 and named by Brigham Young after the American president, in an attempt to gain favor. For a brief period Fillmore was the territorial capitol, before it was moved to Salt Lake City.
Territorial Statehouse State Park
The Territorial Statehouse State Park in Fillmore has the oldest governmental building in Utah, built by Brigham Young as a temporary state capitol building. It is now a historical museum and host of the Old Capitol Arts Festival in September.
