Farmington (pop. 14,000) was originally known as North Cottonwood when it was settled in 1848. Located 17m/27km north of Salt Lake City in Davis County, the town is known for its Lagoon Amusement Park which is the largest amusement park in the area.

At Farmington, 15mi/24km north of Salt Lake City, is this large Wild West theme park, with an impressive reconstruction of a town of pioneering days.
The park features more than 40 rides including rollercoasters and slides.
