Davis County

Bountiful (pop. 41,300) is the second-largest town in Davis County. It was settled in 1847, but was known as Sessions Settlement until 1855. It is located just north of Salt Lake City.

The South Branch Library in Bountiful is Davis County's largest library. It opened in 1969 and has 156,000 items.

Mueller Park is located east of Bountiful and overlooks a scenic canyon. It has a picnic area and trails.

The Bountiful Davis Art Center is a community art gallery located on the City Campus in Bountiful. The focus on visual arts features a variety of mediums.

Centerville (pop. 13,500) got its name from its location between Bountiful and Farmington in Davis County north of Salt Lake City. It was settled in 1848 and incorporated in 1915.

Clearfield (pop. 27,000) is located in Davis County. The town is known for the Freeport Center which is Utah's largest industrial park.

Clinton (pop. 17,700) was settled by farmers in 1880. The town is located in Davis County just north of Salt Lake City.

The town of Fruit Heights (pop. 4,700) is named for the fruit trees that have been planted there since the town was settled in 1850. The town is located in Davis County in north central Utah.

Cherry Hill Recreation Park in Fruit Heights was established in 1967 as a camping resort. It features mini golf, batting cages and a water park.

Kaysville (pop. 22,000) is the fourth-largest city in Davis County. It was first settled in 1850, but known as Kay's Fort until 1868 because of a mud wall built around the town.

The LeConte Stewart Art Gallery in Kaysville is dedicated exclusively to the work of its namesake, LeConte Stewart who was a Mormon artist who specialized in landscapes. The gallery is part of the city library in the old city hall building.

Layton (pop. 60,000) is the largest town in Davis County in north-central Utah. It was named after Christopher Layton, an early settler and Mormon.

The Layton Heritage Museum has a collection of more than 9,000 historical and cultural items from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

North Salt Lake (pop. 9,300) is a fast-growing industrial town in Davis County.

South Weber (pop. 5,400) is a town in Davis County in north central Utah.

The small town of Sunset (pop. 5,000) is named for the beautiful sunsets over Great Salt Lake.

Syracuse (pop. 21,000) is located 25mi/40km north of Salt Lake City in Davis County. It is the gateway to Antelope Island State Park.

The small town of West Bountiful (pop. 4,500) is located in Davis County in north-central Utah. It was incorporated in 1948.

The fast-growing city of West Point (pop. 6,500) was originally known as Muskrat Springs when it was settled in 1885. The town is located in Davis County in northern Utah.

Woods Cross (pop. 7,500) is located in Davis County, Utah. It was named for a railroad crossing by the family home of Daniel Wood, a town settler.
