Al-Fujairah

Fujairah is the only emirate that does not have a shore on the Arabian Gulf, instead it lies on the Gulf of Oman, the eastern side of the UAE. Fujairah is separated from the rest of the country by the Hajar mountain range.

The port of Fujairah is an important port for container liners and for the world's largest livestock shipping companies.

Some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving in the United Arab Emirates can be found at Fujairah. Other water sports such as swimming, yachting, water surfing and deep-sea fishing attract tourists throughout the year.

The town of Fujairah has a number of historical and archeological sites including a fort and the old town.
