Túy - Cathedral

On the highest point in the town stands the fortress-like Cathedral with its twin towers (11th-13th C.), which was begun in Romanesque style and much altered in later centuries. Within a porch on the west front is a 14th century Gothic doorway, with a representation of the Adoration of the Shepherds and the Three Kings in the tympanum and finely carved figures on either side. Notable features of the interior are a number of Gothic and Renaissance tombs and the choir-stalls, carved with scenes from the life of San Telmo, the town's patron saint. The cloister is also Gothic. From the wall-walk on the roof there is a fine view of the town.
