El Presidio Park is on Alameda west of Church in downtown Tucson. It is located on the site of the Plaza de las Armas, the southern half of the frontier Presidio designated by Colonel Hugo O'Conor of the Spanish army in 1775. This is also the location of Tucson's Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
