Trivandrum - Veli Tourist Park

Veli Tourist Park is a waterfront park that has become a popular tourist destination. A narrow sandbar separates the lagoon from the sea; powerboats, pedal boats or rowboats can be used in the lagoon. The main attraction at Veli is the water, which is a delight for tourists and locals.

A floating bridge and a floating restaurant are two notable attractions within Veli Tourist Park. There is a tiny lake within the park that is suited to younger children with sturdy boats and miniature paddles.

An open-air theater features cultural performances and an annual arts festival.

The grounds of Veli Tourist Park are dotted with interesting sculptures designed by the well-known local sculptor Kanai Kunjiraman.
