French Azilum Description
Over 400 acres and over fifty structures were exrected by a group of French exiles who settled here in the autumn of 1793. French Azilum has over 20 acres of the original settlement with Early Americana outbuildings and the 1836 Laporte House containing period furnishings. Guided tours and outdoor exhibits are also available.
