The summit of Bear Mountain is 1,305 feet high with a tower and observation deck provided. Hiking, boating, picnicking, swimming, cross-country skiing, sledding, ice skating as well as a zoo and trailside museums are available.
The Warner House and ruins of the Revolutionary War fortifications are the points of interest. The home of the Warner family from 1836 to 1915 features original family possessions.
