Housed in a building built at the turn of the 20th century, the Langlade Historical Museum is an interesting attraction for its fine collection of American history. The museum has an excellent archive collection with a large number of scenes and pictures of the pioneer days of Langlade. The museum also has an interesting collection of implants used in the lumber industry.

Named after the patron Leigh Yawkey, this museum presents a fine collection of artwork across a wide spectrum. The Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum has a special focus on art relating to birds, and hosts an internationally acclaimed, juried exposition each year. The museum is set on a beautiful piece of property and has walking trails and features the Margaret Woodson Fisher Sculpture Garden.

The Marathon County Historical Museum preserves the past and is the repository for all things related to Marathon County and Wausau. The museum contains the county's archives and hosts a variety of exhibits each year drawn from the items in its collection. The museum is located in Wausau, Wisconsin.
