Traisen Valley Attractions

The road through the Traisen valley has been used since the early Middle Ages by pilgrims making their way to Lilienfeld Abbey and Mariazell. The former woodcutters' and miners' settlements are now pleasant summer holiday resorts, the mountains popular skiing areas. The church at the village of Traisen in the valley has a modern altar.
