Texarkana is comprised of two townships divided along the Texas Arkansas state line. The town grew up at the spot where the Cairo and Fulton Railroad met up with the Texas and Pacific Railroad.
This 1885 Italianate-Victorian style house was built with the winnings of a card game. The building has 22 sides with three octagonal wings and one rectangular wing. The Ace of Clubs House was built in 1885 in the shape of the ace of clubs playing card. The Moore family lived in the home from 1894 until it was deeded to the the Texarkana Museums System in 1985.
