Ste Anne Marine National Park Attractions
Ste Anne National Marine Park is enjoyed for its glass-bottom boats and snorkeling though visitors are prohibit from fishing or collecting shells or corals. It became the first national park in the Indian Ocean in 1973. Covering six islands off the coast of Mahe near Victoria, four of the islands, Beacon, Round, Cerf and Moyenne, are open to public.

This granite island features a peak rising 246m/800ft above the surrounding thick tropical vegetation. In spite of it mangroves and crocodiles, the island was the site of a 1770 French settlement, the first in the Seychelles.

Beacon Island
This small islet of 11ha/5ac is an important breeding site for noddies and a designated protected nature reserve. Its sheltered dive site is used during the monsoon season when other sites are rough.

Privately owned, Moyenne features nature trails, reconstructed settlers' homes, colonial graves and a small chapel.

Round Island
Site of a former leper colony, it features the ruins of the hospital, a nature walk, visitors centre, and a Creole restaurant in the former chapel of the colony. Glass bottom and semi-submersible boats are available to the sightseer.
