The birthplace of Chester A. Arthur who was the 21st president of the United States is a State Historic Site. The home offers a pictorial display of his life and career.

The St Albans Historical Museum is housed in an 1861 schoolhouse. It features a variety of household items, photographs, Revolutionary, and Civil War artifacts. One room is a recreation of Norman Rockwell's "The Family Doctor's Office". The items were donated by the doctor who is portrayed in the painting.

The Vermont Maple Festival is held on the last weekend in April. It includes maple exhibits and demonstrations, entertainment, craft shows and sales, and free breakfasts.
