The museum is housed in No. 1 Snoopy Place, the address of the well-known American comic artist Charles M. Schulz. Born in Minneapolis (MN) in 1922 of German descent, Schulz is the spiritual father of the "Peanuts" family, the principal figures of which are Charlie Brown, Snoopy the dog, Lucy and her brother Linus. Since it first appeared in 1950 it has become one of the most successful of all comic-strips.

The Luther Burbank Home and Gardens is dedicated to the horticulturist who introduced 800 varieties of fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains and ornamental flowers. His home, a greenhouse and carriage house museum contain original furnishings and changing exhibits.

The Ripley Memorial Museum in Santa Rosa was built in 1873 and moved to its present site in Juilliard Park in 1957. It was originally a church built from the wood of a single redwood tree. Since 1970 it has housed memorabilia of Robert L Ripley of Believe It or Not! fame.
Safari West is home to over 400 mammals and birds, as well as zebras, giraffes, and lemurs. This 400-acre wildlife preserve is also home to birds from all over the world.

Luther Burbank, one of America's most important agriculturists, was attracted to Santa Rosa from Massachusetts by the favorable climate and fertile soil. He devoted his life to cultivating new varieties of fruit and vegetables. In the Luther Burbank Memorial Gardens you can learn more about the achievements of this man who is buried there under a cedar tree. You can also visit the house where he lived and worked.
