Provo Attractions

A cable railway leads to the Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon.

The falls drop 607ft/185m and can be seen from U.S. 189. The falls form an icefall in winter.

The Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum in Provo features historic cabins from Fort Utah and artifacts from the settlement of the area.

Located in a restored carriage house, the McCurdy Historical Doll Museum in Provo has over 4,000 dolls in its collection. Doll books, kits, patterns, toys, children's books, a doll hospital and repair services are also featured.

The Mormon Temple overlooking Provo is on a 17 acre site and is open to Mormons only. The gold spires can be seen from the town.

The Seven Peaks Water Park in Provo features a giant wave pool. It also has waterslides including the Free Fall, Sky Breaker, and Jagged Edge which are speed slides that drop more than six stories in less than 4.5 seconds.

The historic Utah County Courthouse in Provo now houses the Utah Valley Visitor Information Center. The impressive limestone structure was built in the 1920's.

To the west of the town, on the shores of Utah Lake, is a State Park.

Utah Lake is the largest freshwater lake in the state, covering 96,600 acres. Utah Lake State Park has boat launching facilities in the summer, and an ice skating rink in the winter. There is excellent fishing with catfish, white and black bass, and walleye.
