Spanning 6.5 acres, the Old Economy Village was home to the Harmony Society, a Christian communal group. Established in 1824, the village contains authentic, restored buildings such as the mechanics building, a store and the Leader's Home.

Meadowcroft Museum is a 200-acre outdoor museum that is noted as one of the oldest prehistoric sites in North America. There is also a recreated 19th century village highlighting rural life.

Round Hill is a working farm that began in 1790. A brick farmhouse built in 1838 and livestock are featured.

Bushy Run Battlefield Park site marks the military encounter between the British and American Indians in 1763. This marked the turning point in Pontiac's War.

Sri Venkateswara Temple is one of the earliest Hindu temples to be built in the United States. It is modeled after the famed Venkateswara temple in Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh, India) and it's 7th century architecture.

Merrick Free Art Gallery houses more than 200 paintings, mainly from the American Hudson River School and the European Romantic period.

The George Westinghouse Museum focuses on his accomplishments and many inventions. Exhibits include early Westinghouse appliances, inventions such as air brakes for trains, historic patent papers and some Westinghouse family items.

The collection was merged with the Heinz History Center.

Near Slippery Rock is the Old Stone House, built in 1822. The restored tavern and stagecoach stop is furnished in period.

Jennings Environmental Education Center features a relict prairie, which includes the spectacular and well-known prairie flower, the blazing star. Remnants of a 6,000-year old ecological system are also there and protected.

Rachel Carson was an ecologist whose fourth book, written in 1962, titled "Silent Spring", launched the modern environmental movement. The Homestead is her birthplace and childhood home where visitors can experience the surroundings that made Rachel a defender of the natural world.
