This 62-room Second Empire Style mansion was built by LeGrand Lockwood in 1864. The house was going to be demolished in the 1950's but was saved by local preservationists who formed the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum. Visitors can tour the first two floors.

The Maritime Aquarium is located in an old factory in the historic waterfront neighborhood of South Norwalk, more commonly referred to as SoNo. There are displays on the maritime history of Long Island Sound as well as an aquarium featuring a variety of native marine life. Also located at this complex is an IMAX theater and the Maritime Hall with boats and other equipment.

Located in the City Hall Building in the South Norwalk district, the Norwalk Museum consists of the Lockwood Gallery, the Cuneo Conference Room and the Library. The Lockwood Gallery features changing exhibits. The conference room is available for rent and the library archives have an extensive collection of documents, books, literature, photographs and newspapers.

The Sheffield Island Lighthouse was activated in 1868 and was in operation until 1902. The lighthouse and grounds are now maintained as a museum and nature preserve.
Visitors to Sheffield Island must travel by ferry and then tour the lighthouse, including the ten rooms filled with period furniture, which provide a glimpse of life for the lightkeepers family.

This country retreat was the summer home of J. Alden Weir for 40 years. The site includes his studio, home, and other buildings as well as a visitor center. Visitors can travel the Painting Trail to observe the scenery that was inspirational in many of his paintings.
