Minnesota - Lakes of the Northern Lights Region Attractions
The Lakes of the Northern Lights Region of Minnesota was used more than 200 years ago by French voyageurs as a main route for the transport of beaver and fur pelts. This land is home to some of the 10,000 lakes, along the borderland with Canada, as well as Voyageurs National Park, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Lake of the Woods.
The United States Hockey Hall of Fame honors the sport of ice hockey in the United States. Exhibits include the "Great Wall of Fame" of Inductees, the Olympic Display, the Gallery of Hockey Art, historical exhibits of hockey memorabilia and the Theater of Hockey Highlights.

The Soudan Iron Mine contains 1,300 acres and includes an elevator ride 2,400ft/730m down to the 27th level. An electric train trip travels the 3,000ft/915m tunnel to where the last mining was done as well as the ore crushing area.
Olcott Park in Virginia contains 40 acres of landscaped grounds with a multicolor lighted fountain and a greenhouse with floral displays. Exhibits within the historical museum include the logging era, Virginia's two decimating fires, and the trolley line that traversed the Iron Range until 1927.
