The region of Midi-Pyréneés consist of the eight French Départments of Ariège, Aveyron, Haute-Garonne, Gers, Lot, Hautes- Pyrénées, Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne. The main town is Toulouse. This foothill region of the Pyrenees mountain range is one of the least frequented by tourists.
