The region of Midi-Pyréneés consist of the eight French Départments of Ariège, Aveyron, Haute-Garonne, Gers, Lot, Hautes- Pyrénées, Tarn and Tarn-et-Garonne. The main town is Toulouse. This foothill region of the Pyrenees mountain range is one of the least frequented by tourists.

Ginals - Abbaye de Beaulieu en Rouergue

The Beaulieu Abbey was built in 1204 after the land was gifted to the Cistercian monks by King John. The Gothic style features octagonal cupola, high bays, rose windows and a single nave.

Chateau, Gramont, France
