Mena Attractions
On the edge of Ouachita National Forest, the town of Mena grew with the development of nearby Wilhelmena Resort. The Talimena Scenic Drive begins in Mena heading west of Talihina, OK.
Janssen Park
Janssen Park is a 10 ac park that contains two small lakes, a deer enclosure and an 1851 log cabin. The cabin in Janssen Park was reportedly used as a hideout by the notorious Jesse James. It was also used as a hospital, post office, and city hall.

Mena Depot Center
The restored Mena Depot Center displays historical items and railroad memorabilia. The Mena Depot currently houses the Chamber of Commerce and a travel agency as well as the museum. One of the highlights is a completely restored 1939 Dodge police car.
Queen Wilhelmina State Park
Located at one of the highest elevations in Arkansas, Queen Wilhelmina State Park contains a miniature railroad, Queen Wilhelmina Lodge, and a mini golf course.
Within Queen Wilhelmina State Park is the Arkansas Native Plant and Wildlife Center with native wildlife in a natural setting. Information about indigenous plants is also available.
