The town of Dallas (pop. 12,460) is located on the Rickreall Creek west of Salem in northwestern Oregon. Dallas is home to historic buildings from the late 1800's including the Polk County Courthouse and the Muir and McDonald Leather Tannery.

The Brunk House is located between Dallas and Salem. It was built in 1861. The home has been restored and is now open to the public during the summer months.
Tips: Admission by donation. View by appointment only during winter months.
The Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville is home to Howard Hughes' "Spruce Goose", a single hull aircraft with an all wood airframe and surface structure. At the time it was built in 1947 it was the largest plane ever built.

The Lawrence Gallery is located northeast of Sheridan. It features the work of artists from the Pacific Northwest. The gallery has an outdoor sculpture garden.
