Long Beach Peninsula Attractions
North of the mouth of the Columbia River a small peninsula separates Willapa Bay from the open Pacific. This sparsely inhabited tongue of land, almost 30 mi. long, is home to great numbers of sea birds, which can be watched in the Leadbetter State Park on the northern tip. At Long Beach itself there is a small amount of beach activity; Oysterville, though, did once live up to its name, oysters having been farmed there.
