The region of Limassol provides a contrast of modern and old, with the new town and the small villages and there are beaches and forested hills.

It has become a major tourist region and it especially caters to English-speaking tourists.

Limassol - Kyrenia Nautical Club
The Kyrenia Nautical Club represents teams from Kyrenia during all local sports and competitions concerning sea sports, such as swimming and sailing.

After the military occupation by the Turkish invasion forces in 1974, the Famagusta Nautical Club was transferred to Limassol.

There are many sports facilities in the Limassol area. Numerous sports associations located in the region are also helpful and often host open competitions throughout the year.
Limassol Sheraton Pleasure Harbor
The pleasure harbor is a very special feature, ideal for motor and sailing enthusiasts.

The breakwater is constructed to protect the harbor from waves up to five meters in height.

The space available for each yacht is fully supported by a Mediterranean type mooring system for stern mooring.

There are 227 berths accommodating boats up to 30meters LOA and four meters draught.

Yachts are moored stern-on to three concrete piers with all facilities, including connected freshwater, electricity, telephone, T.V. and hooked-up, in-house video.

Yachts going to or leaving Cyprus can clear customs and immigration formalities in the pleasure harbor offices.

Tips
Club officially closes at dusk and is closed second to fourth week of August.
Limassol Sporting Club
The Limassol Sporting Club offers a wide variety of sports, including swimming, tennis, and raquet-ball.

The center is located west of Limassol town center, a 15-minute drive from the hotel area.

Pissouri, Cyprus
Pissouri village lies on the coast and has a nice beach with a pleasant stretch of sand. The village is on the cliff top of 245 meters and is reached by a narrow, winding road. The village has a maze of streets and there are several places which rent rooms.

From Pissouri the road reaches some of the spectacular white cliffs of this part of the coast.
