The market on High Street has been in operation since Medieval times while the town centre in High Wycombe was renovated to cater to arcades and well-known shops. Rye Park offers a swimming pool and plenty of green space, which is particularly popular in summer months.
West Wycombe, England
The village of West Wycombe, 2mi/3km west of High Wycombe, dating from the 15th-18th centuries, belongs to the National Trust, which is committed to preserving its distinctive character.The village is home to West Wycombe Caves and West Wycombe Park. The Church of St Lawrence is a well-known landmark in the area with its golden ball and location on top of a hill. The ball seats eight people and offers scenic views of the surrounding area.
West Wycombe Park
West Wycombe Park, a country house built in 1698 and altered in the Palladian style between 1765 and 1780, has beautiful spacious grounds landscaped by Humphrey Repton, with a lake, a pavilion and small temples.
Dashwood Mausoleum
On the hill above West Wycombe stands a hexagonal mausoleum built by the eccentric Sir Francis Dashwood, founder of the Hell Fire Club.
Art Gallery and Museum
The Art Gallery and Museum contains an interesting collection of furniture and tools.Wycombe's local history is intertwined with chair making. The town grew into a major chairmaking center in the 1800s. The displays at the High Wycombe Museum highlight the chairmaking industry and offer valuable insight into the social history of the town.
Blue Max Movie Aircraft Museum (closed)
This museum closed permanently in mid October 2007.Opened in 1992, this museum highlights its aircraft movie and TV careers in 'Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines' and many other productions.Of particular note is a Fokker E III replica and a Morane N, also a replica.
Bradenham Village
Bradenham Village is located near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. It features a 17th-century manor house which was once the home of Isaac D'Israeli, father of Benjamin Disraeli. There are numerous paths leading out through the surrounding countryside.
All Saints Parish Church
The large parish church of All Saints, in the center of High Wycombe, dates from the 13th century but has been much rebuilt and restored.
Guildhall
The handsome 18th century Guildhall (1757) in High Wycombe was renovated by Robert Adam in 1761.

Wycombe Abbey
Wycombe Abbey, built in 1795, is now occupied by a girls' school.
