High Wycombe Attractions

High Wycombe (pop. 59,000), in a narrow valley in the Chilterns, has many furniture factories.
The market on High Street has been in operation since Medieval times while the town centre in High Wycombe was renovated to cater to arcades and well-known shops. Rye Park offers a swimming pool and plenty of green space, which is particularly popular in summer months.
All Saints Parish Church
The large parish church of All Saints, in the center of High Wycombe, dates from the 13th century but has been much rebuilt and restored.
Art Gallery and Museum
The Art Gallery and Museum contains an interesting collection of furniture and tools.
Wycombe's local history is intertwined with chair making. The town grew into a major chairmaking center in the 1800s. The displays at the High Wycombe Museum highlight the chairmaking industry and offer valuable insight into the social history of the town.
