Gudbrandsdal Attractions

The Gudbrandsdal, known as "the valley of valleys", extends northwest of Lillehammer for some 200km/125mi up the valley of the river Lågen, between the Rondane and Dovrefjell ranges to the east and the mountain region of the Jotunheim to the west. It has a mild climate with long periods of dry weather.

The Gudbrandsdal is one of the most popular tourist and holiday regions in Norway, both in summer and in winter. The people of the valley have preserved much of their old way of life and customs.
