Grand Bahama Island Attractions

Grand Bahama Island is 96mi/150km long west to east and 17mi/27km across at its widest north to south point. The island is split in two by the Grand Lucayan Waterway with most settlement being on the west end and more nature being found on the east end. The Grand Bahama Highway runs from end to end.

The island is high in scrub and pine forests, one of the reasons English settlers first came to the island. It is noted for its good beaches on the south coast and mangrove swamps along the north.
