Framingham is located west of Boston. The town was first settled in the mid 1600's and one of the resident's was held responsible for instigating the Boston Massacre of 1770.
The Danforth Museum of Art features a permanent collection that focuses on American 19th and 20th century art and also includes some works by European artists. The changing exhibits offer a wider variety of historical and contemporary art. The Danforth Museum is also home to the Marks Fine Arts Library, which houses reference materials, periodicals and videos.

Garden In the Woods is a premier wildflower garden featuring more than 1,000 types of plants, some of which are rare or endangered. As an ever-changing living museum, the naturalistic settings combine education, with sustainable gardening and a web-of-life. The Curtis Path, the main path, about one mile long, and other nature trails, take visitors through varied terrain.
