Corvallis (pop. 53,900) is the location of the Oregon State University. The town hosts a number of annual festivals and celebrations during the summer months. The historic district features buildings dating to the mid 1800's.

Philomath - Benton County Historical Museum
Located in the Philomath College Building, the Benton County Historical Museum displays art work of Oregon artists. The museum collection includes about 65,000 items related to the history of the area.
