The Longmont Museum was founded in 1936 and opened in the carriage house at Callahan House in 1940. The new museum is located just east of Main Street in south Longmont. Artifacts from the history of the city, including to local hero Vance Brand, a NASA astronaut are on display.

The town of Lyons is named for Edward S. Lyon, who founded it in 1880. The historic community has 15 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including an old stone church and schoolhouse.
The Lyons Redstone Museum is housed in the town's old schoolhouse, which was built in 1881. Exhibits include artifacts from the history of the town and surrounding area.

Nederland is a town in western Boulder County surrounded by the Roosevelt National Forest. The town was incorporated in 1874 and was built upon mining, primarily gold, silver, and tungsten. Nederland offers many recreational opportunities.
Fort Vasquez is a reconstructed fur trading post built around 1835. The founders Louis Vasquez and Andrew Sublette employed many of their mountain-man friends.

Superior is an old coal mining town in Boulder County, north of Denver. The first mines were established in the late 1800's, and the town itself was founded in 1896. Most of the population moved away when the mines closed in the 1950's.
