Bellows Falls Attractions

The town of Bellows Falls (pop. 3,200) is named for the nearby falls which were originally named the Great Falls. Today the water running over the falls is greatly reduced due to industry.

The town's most famous citizen was the businesswoman Hetty Green who was the richest woman in the world in the 1870's.
Adams Grist Mill & Museum
The Adams Grist Mill & Museum in Bellows Falls is located in a stone and wood frame gristmill which was built in 1831 and closed in 1961. The museum features the original equipment and supplies from the gristmill.

It houses the Bellows Falls Historical Society.
Green Mountain Flyer
The Green Mountain Flyer is a 1930s diesel train which offers train rides through the area surrounding Bellows Falls. The train operates from the Bellows Falls Union Station which was built in the 1850's.
