Aldershot (pop. 33,000) is located 30 km southwest of London and is an army center with a notable military museum. Aldershot has a vibrant cultural life with over 80 shows each year at the Princes Hall theatre, and the West End Centre offering a wide range of programs such as music and comedy.
Demonstrated in the form of models, dioramas and displays, is the history of the airborne in Britain from 1940 onwards. A Dakota aircraft, along with a variety of field artillery is to be found outside the museum.

The Army Physical Training Corps Museum covers the development of physical training in the British army from its introduction in 1860 to modern days. Of particular note is the early gymnasium and the details of the Corps participation in the Olympic games.

Fleet (pop. 26,004) is located just northwest of Aldershot. Basingstoke Canal in Fleet is the most popular attraction offering walking, boating and fishing opportunities.
Hartley Wintney is on the B3016 near Winchfield. Some notable buildings of interest include St Mary's Church, built in the 13th century; West Green House with the gardens open to the public; and Elvetham Hotel, rebuilt in 1860.
The West Green House Garden in Hartley Witney is a National Trust property. Here, a series of walled gardens surround an 18th C house, the largest of which features herbaceous beds and an ornamental kitchen garden.

Liphook is on the A3 southwest of Godalming. It is a good place for walking and hiking. The Forest Mere health spa and Hollycombe Steam Collection are two local attractions.
Old Thorns is an 18-hole course in Liphook set in 400 acres of Hampshire countryside, including parklands, pockets of wooded areas and lakes. The course is 6,129 yards, SSS 69. You can also rent equipment from the Pro shop, practice on the driving range or practice green or take lessons with the club professional.
There are two fine restaurants on site.
