Toronto - Chinatown
Toronto's Chinatown occupies the district immediately north and west of the Art Gallery of Ontario, extending along Dundas Street and into some of the adjacent side streets. Crowding together into this small area are people from every part of East and South-east Asia, some of whom are the descendents of Chinese contract workers but many others being more recent arrivals from Hongkong and Vietnam. At all hours the place buzzes with commercial activity, the selection of goods in the innumerable shops being correspondingly wide. All the delicious aromas of the orient waft from the restaurants and snack bars.
