An area of debris lies near the village of Muang Sema, 40 km (25 mi.) west of Nakhon Ratchasima. An important Mon town, it is thought to have developed on this site between the 6th c. and the 11th c. The debris should be scientifically examined in the next few years, as the Thai tourism authorities have the money available for this.
