Granbury Attractions
This small town is located on Lake Granbury. The community features an historic town square that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Several of the old buildings have been restored, including the opera house, jail, and courthouse.
The Great Race Hall of Fame features a display of race cars. Each year in August the old display is removed and a new one arrives.
Housed in the 1885 jail, the museum explores the history of Hood County.
The Granbury Opera House was built in 1886 but sat unoccupied for over sixty years until it was restored and reopened in 1975. The Opera House now boasts a 46 week season with a variety of productions.
