Gonzales Attractions
Gonzales (pop. 6,200) was the first town during the Texas Revolution to challenge the Mexicans. Today the area is known for it's pecan, cattle and poultry production.
The Pioneer Village features 8 restored buildings which allow for a glimpse into the past. The buildings were collected from Gonzales County including a church, barn, log cabin, granary, blacksmith shop, broom factory, and homes.

The museum displays historical items from the area including artifacts relating to the cattle industry, leather factories, railroad roundhouse, and the tomato growing and shipping industries.
