Eagle Pass Attractions
Eagle Pass (pop. 27,500) is located along the Mexico border. The town developed as a result of nearby Fort Duncan, which was built in 1849 to serve as protection from American Indians.
The town is now an international gateway and tourist area, with easy access to Mexico. Fishing in the Rio Grande is also a popular past time.

Fort Duncan Museum
The museum is housed in the Fort Duncan headquarters building. The collection includes a variety of items related to the history of the fort and the area.
Fort Duncan Park
Fort Duncan was established in 1849 to serve as protection against the American Indians. The fort was occupied by Confederate troops of Frontier Regiment during the civil war and reoccupied by federal troops in 1868. It functioned as a military post until 1916.
