Alvin Attractions
Alvin (pop. 20,000) is located between Houston and Galveston. The town's main industry developed as a result of the discovery of oil in the 1930's. Alvin is also known for being the home town of baseball pitcher Nolan Ryan.

Bayou Wildlife Park
Bayou Wildlife Park features both free roaming and caged animals from around the globe, which can be viewed from a tram. There is also a petting zoo and an opportunity to feed some of the animals.
