Alice Attractions

Alice (pop. 21,000) is located west of Corpus Christi. The town is centrally located between San Antonio, Corpus Christi and the Lower Rio Grande valley and is commonly known as the "Hub City of South Texas".
South Texas Museum
The South Texas Museum traces the history of the south Texas region from the American Indian to the 20th century. The collection is varied and features some unique items, including a typewriter with two sets of keys (one for lower case and one for upper case).

The museum is housed in the unique McGill Brothers Building. After visiting the Alamo in 1940, the brothers returned to Alice, and built an office building in the same design.
