|
The Musée Royal de l'Afrique Central is housed in a palatial building designed by the French architect Charles Girault. Completed in 1910 the project was yet another brainchild of King Léopold II. The museum's extremely comprehensive collection, deriving mainly from the former Belgian Congo, embraces the wildlife, archaeology, mineralogy, ethnography and art of the peoples of Central Africa.
