Be sure to check out House number 61. It was bought by the Telc baker in 1532 and decorated in graffiti representing the figures of Old Testament commanders.
House number 15, also on the namesti Zachariase z Hradce stands out for its façade that depicts scenes of the Cruxifixion, Saul and David, Christopher, along with Faith and Justice. It almost appears as though the artist was using the house as a massive canvas.
The large column at the center of the square is the Marian Column (Mariansky sloup). Created by the sculptor Lipart in the early 18th Century, the column is very ornate and represents elements of the Plague. The large fountain in the main square is of St Margaret. It was originally done in wood and in 1827 Lipart replaced it with the present work.
Further down the square and across from the castle is the medieval Church of St James (Kostel sv Jakuba). For a grand overview of the entire square and the city of Telc itself, be sure to visit the Church of the Holy Spirit (Kostel sv Ducha) and climb the tower.
