Pantalica Description
The Pantálica lies 33km/20.5mi northeast of Palazzolo Acréide, in the hinterland of Syracuse. Drive north from Acréide towards Caltagirone for about 10km/6mi, then turn right via Ferla to the Necropolis.

Location

This famous necropolis of the Siculi has some 5,000 graves dating from the 13th-8th centuries B.C. and lies in some magnificent countryside characterized by the bush-covered rock walls of the Anapo and Calcinara gorges.
