Glattfelden Attractions
Glattfelden (359 m/1,178ft) is situated on the River Glatt just above its junction with the Rhine. This was the home town of the Swiss writer Gottfried Keller and is frequently referred to in his novel "Der grüne Heinrich".
At a crossroads 2km/1mi farther on, where the right-hand road runs south to Zurich, turn left to cross the Rhine on a stone bridge into the picturesque old town of Eglisau.
