Hassleholm Attractions
Road 21 runs northwest from Kristianstad to Hässleholm. Just before it reaches the town it comes to Ignaberga, near which is the Tykarpsgrotta, a limestone cave. Hässleholm (pop. 48,000), which received its municipal charter in 1914, grew up around a railroad junction. In the park is a piece of sculpture by Axel Ebbe, "The Brigand". At Osby, north of Hässleholm, is the interesting Brio Toy Museum. In the forests in the surrounding area there are good canoeing waters.
Hässleholm is noted for its unique architectural styles such as the Central Train Station and the Hotel Statt. In 2002, the town opened the Hässleholm Cultural Center, which features theatres, a library, a visitors center, and restaurants.
