Description
In the Wat Chedi Si Hong the quality of the 14th c. sculpture on the laterite base of the foundation is remarkable; upright angel-like figures bear vases of flowers in the upper hand and symbolize prayer with the lower hand. Traces of Singhalese and Khmer art are visible in their clothing. Lions appear between the figures standing on the heads of elephants. Laterite columns from the wiharn and the pedestals of two chedis in the portico still stand.
